Should I avoid including an interview with an optometrist or footage from an eye care clinic in the video?

Essilor is looking for videos that are fun, creative, and will catch the attention of the viewer. While the message of the video should be focused on the benefits of an annual eye exam and glasses, the way that the information is delivered should be more interesting and compelling than clinical or instructional.

For example, using an optometrist's office as a background or having an "optometrist character" would be great; however, we are not looking for an optometrist to explain the benefits point blank or to promote any particular eye care clinics.

Do you have to cover all the suggestions in a topic? For example, in the Fly Eye category both thin glasses and sunglasses are mentioned. Do I need to mention both sunglasses and thin glasses or can I focus on just one of these?

It is up to you. You can either focus on just one or two of the items in the category or you can highlight all of the items.

In my film I am trying to keep it funny, but I don't want to be offensive. Can you please provide guidelines on appropriate language, sexual content, etc. For example, is a joke acceptable if it subtly hints about a more mature topic?

These videos will potentially be shown in eye doctor offices, eye health meetings, and at trade shows. If you think that the video would be acceptable to doctors and patients of all ages then it is probably fine. Another way to think about it is to ask yourself if this video would be acceptable to play on primetime national television. If you still are unsure please contact us and we will be happy to provide further insight regarding your particular situation.
